ZHOB (By Rafiullah Mandokhail) In order to ensure the safely of citizens against novel coronavirus, Balochistan Rural Support Program (BRSP) with the financial support of PATRIP Foundation installed wash facilities and distributed hand sanitizers, soaps, face masks and gloves in different parts of the district.
District Program Manager BRSP Sher Hassan Barozai accompanied by District Coordinator Quttab Mandokhail, District Coordinator Malaria Control Programme Zhob Dr. Ubaidullah Hariphal and Rashid Nasar provided hand washing facilities, sanitizers, soaps, face masks and gloves to Wing Commander paramilitary force, District Police Officer, Tehsildar Zhob, District Health Officer and Medical Superintendent DHQ civil hospital during handing and taking over ceremonies.
Speaking on the occasion DHO Dr. Muzzafar Shah, MS Dr. Hadi Kibzai, Wing Commander Zhob Militia Lt Col Rizwan, DPO Fahad Khosa, Tehsildar Ghulam Hussain, senior pharmacist Dr. Abdul Qayyum Mandokhail and president Para medical staff association Tahir Hotak said that Covid-19 has been declared as a pandemic. They asked the authorities to ensure close coordination with government departments and district administration to fight the pandemic together.
“There is no effective treatment to prevent the virus infection, however there are some precautions to be taken to overcome the pandemic,” the officials said.
Coordinator, Malaria Control Program, Dr. Ubaid Hariphal said that wash facilities, N-95 masks, hand sanitizers and soaps have also been provided to all health facilities in every nook and corner of the district, while personal protective equipment kits have been provided to DHO, MS and quarantine center on Quetta highway.
