KHAIRPUR MIRS (ENNS) German Scholar Prof. Dr. Jochen Hippler, country director FES Pakistan said, “National building is a key component for human development and tolerant society. It can be achieved by following a set of ideas which include cultural diversity, religious harmony, interfaith dialogue, concept of peaceful equality and mutual respect for all the people. Many countries have sacrificed lives of millions to achieve the above element”.
Hippler was speaking as chief guest at a lecture programme on Nation building and culture, experiences from other countries for Pakistan was held at Shah Abdul Latif University Khairpur Mirs here on Friday.
“Culture is a vast terminology that advocates life style, manners and more of different people living in the society, he said and added, it plays a vital role in the making of nation building. It is observed that concept of acceptance can be a foundation stone of nation building”.
Abdullah Dayo, Program Coordinator FES Pakistan briefed the audience about different projects of FES Pakistan and their impact on academic and social life of students.
Earlier Dean Faculty of Social Sciences Prof. Dr. Taj Muhammad Lashari, Khadim Hussain Murano also spoke on the occasion.
