Scores of people belonging to Gandapur tribe set on fire the ttires and parked their vehicles at Dera-Tank Road Hathala as the deadline ended for the recovery of two employees of SRSP namely Shafiullah Khan Gandapur and Timur Khan Mehsud, who were abducted from South Waziristan four months ago.
Protesters chanted slogans against SRSP and South Waziristan administration. They warned, if both hostages were not recovered soon, then sit-in in front of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, National Assembly and SRSP office would be held.
The sit-in was led by former Tehsil Nazim Kalachi Akbar Khan Gandapur alias Noni Khan, ex-MPA Sardar Fatehullah Miankhel, Qaizar Khan Gandapur, Samiullah Khan Gandapur, Khurshid Khan Gandapur and former Tehsil Nazim Kalachi Sardar Samin Jan Gandapur. Speaking on the occasion, the speakers said that Shafiullah Khan Gandapur and Timur Khan Mehsud who were abducted from South Waziristan four months ago have not been recovered yet. Later, the road was reopened after talks with Assistant Commissioner Kalachi Karamatullah Khan by the protesters.
