Pakistan Army Aviation aircraft crashes near Rawalpindi: five army officials, 12 civilians on ground dead

ISLAMABAD (ENNS) At least 17 people lost their lives including five military personnel when a plane of Pakistan Army Aviation on Tuesday morning crashed near Mora Kalu in Rawalpindi district of Punjab province near adjoining federal capital Islamabad.

According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the aircraft was on a routine training flight when it crashed but the cause crash was not mentioned yet.

The crash also resulted in 12 fatal civilian casualties while 12 others were injured, ISPR added.

Lt Col Saqib, Lt Col Wasim, Naib Subedar Afzal, Hawaldar Amin and Hawaldar Rahmat were on I’ll fated plane.
Plane crashed on population caused death of atleast 12 civilians and over 10 were injured told the sources.

According to residents soon after the crash massive fire broke out that engulfed several houses in the locality.

“Rescue officials had extinguished the fire caused by the crash and moved the injured to a local hospital” further added the ISPR.
Moreover the killed and injured were shifted to nearby hospitals.
