Woman died due to allegedly continued negligence of Doctors in Sialkot


SIALKOT (ENNS) A  Pasrur based married woman died due to alleged slackness by the doctors in her medical treatment at Govt. Allama Iqbal Memorial Teaching Hospital Sialkot.

A labourer Muhammad Aslam, husband of victim Zahida Bibi(28), told the newsmen that she had been suffering from severe pain due to the growing tumor in her belly and was visiting this hospital for the last four consecutive months for her medical treatment.
But, every time the doctors were giving the new time for her surgery to remove growing  tumor from her belly.
She again on Thursday reached here for her surgery but the doctors again gave new time for this surgery without checking her properly.

After few minutes, she felt severe pains in her belly as the tumor bursted there in her belly and due to which she died in hospital.

Later, the people of Pasrur, including victim Zahida Bibi’s husband and heirs, stayed agitational demonstration in front of the main gate of Hospital by placing dead body there.
They chanted slogans against the accused doctors and they demanded registration of accused doctors for their alleged slackness, in this regard.

Hospital management claimed that a probe has been ordered in this matter.

The grieved family also urged the Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar, Provincial Minister for Health Punjab Dr.Yasmeen Rashid, Commissioner Gujranwala Division Waqas Ali Mehmood and Sialkot Deputy Commissioner Dr.Syed Bilal Haider to look into the matter and provide justice to poor family.
