Two Lawmakers alleged of attacking Pak Army check post, three killed, 20 injured- Bilawal gets surprised on allegation


ISLAMABAD (ENN) Three people lost their lives and ten injured in a clash between security forces and Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM) workers on Sunday in North Waziristan’s Miranshah district, told Inter Service Public Relations (ISPR).

The Pakistan army’s spokesperson said that a group led by Member National Assembly (MNA) Mohsin Javed and MNA Ali Wazir assaulted Kharqamar check post in Boya area at the North Waziristan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

The ISPR said that due to the firing of the group as many as five soldiers also got injured.

The statement claimed that they wanted to exert pressure for the release of suspected terrorist’s facilitator arrested the one day before. Troops at the check post exercised maximum restraint in the face of provocation and direct firing on the post, said the Pakistan Army’s media wing.

Moreover PTM representatives Sana Ejaz and others on social media claimed that Army opened fire without any reason as workers were protesting and, wanted to attend the gathering but they were stopped at check post.

She alleged that indiscriminate firing was conducted against peaceful and un-armed workers of PTM.

According to PTM atleast 20 workers received bullet wound and were taken into custody by Army personnel.

On the other hand Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari while responding to a question by journalists expressed his surprise and said how an elected MNA can attack army check post as it seems not possible; however he was away from TV channels, so will look into it.

Maryam Nawaz Sharif, vice president Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz wrote on twitter “we have already paid huge price of eliminating protests by force” and she prayed for killed and injured.
