KARACHI (ENN) Sindhu Indus Lawyers Forum held a program in New Bar Room of Karachi Bar Association (KBA) to laud the role of lawyers in saving Karachi’s villages.
Auqib Rajpar, Khalil Ansari and others lauded the lawyers’ for their unwavering support to the poor residents of Malir Goth and saving their villages from being occupied by land mafia and real estate tycoons, especially Bahria Town.
On the occasion, Ajraks were presented to senior lawyers and KBA office-bearers.
Ex-member Pakistan Bar Council Zia Ahmed Awan, who was also presented an Ajrak, said that lawyers have always raised a strong voice for the poor people. He said we believe in rule of law, supermacy of constitution and equal rights for citizens.
KBA president Naeem Qureshi, Faheem Mangi and others attended the ceremony.
