KARACHI (By Lala Hassan) Member Sindh Assembly Nand Kumar Goklani here on Friday raised serious concerns over the ordeal of religious minorities while referring kidnapping of a trader Rajesh Kumar from Sukkur district of Sindh province.
While talking on the point of order in Sindh Assembly session Goklani said about three months ago trader Kumar was kidnapped in daylight from Sukkur city and police have failed yet to recover him.
He said Hinuds were being forced to migrate due to continued lawlessness in Sindh which is alarming. “I am not using hard words for rulers but we are saddened due to the deteriorating law and order situation” Goklani further added.
“Delay in recovery of Kumar has raised serious concerns on the performance of police and is contrary to the tall claims of peace by the government” he added.
However Sindh Minister for Excise and Taxation, Narcotics Control and Parliamentary Affairs Mukesh Kumar Chawla said the kidnapping ratio has decreased during their rule in Sindh as compare to previous governments.
He said law and order situation was better in the province and he had taken kidnapping issue with CM Sindh and Inspector General Sindh Police and they have assured early recovery of trader Kumar.
