Sialkot: Rivals beat woman to death, youth shot dead


SIALKOT (ENN) An old woman Hameeda Bibi (65) was killed with repeated attacks of the bricks during a clash between the two local rival groups namely Qurban Group and Irfan Group over an old land dispute in village Dharam Kot-Satrah, Daska tehsil of Sialkot in Punjab province.

Reportedly, accused badly hit her head with bricks when she tried to patch between the quarrelling groups. She was taken to Daska Civil Hospital where she succumbed to her serious injuries. Accused fled away; however Satrah police have registered a case with no arrest.

Moreover the Cantt police have registered a case against accused husband Rashid, his brother  Nasir, their mother Bashiran Bibi  and other in-laws for killing Rashid’s wife Aliya by poisoning her to death and brutal physical torture over a domestic dispute in village Patessar, in out skirts of Sialkot Cantt, here six months ago.

Police have registered this murder case on the report victim’s brother Fahad Altaf.

He told that the accused in-laws (including her husband, brother-in-law and mother-in-law) her sister Aliya had poisoned her to death after brutal physical torture over a domestic dispute six months ago, but the accused had staged a drama of suicide as well.

Police have claimed to arrest the accused husband Rashid and his brother Nasir in this case.

While in another incident as many as twelve armed accused, belonging to the rival group, shot dead rival group’s youth Sultan alias Naveed over an old enmity in village Sukhaniyaan-Uggoki. Accused fled away by firing in the air. Uggoki police have registered a murder case against twelve accused including Shoaib, Tayyub, Waqar, Zulfiqar, Mudassar, Ali and Afzaal with no arrest.
