MUMBAI/ KARACHI (ENNS/MD) A day after Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput was found hanging at his Mumbai house, the Mumbai Police have recorded statements of five individuals in connection with the case. The statement of the ‘Kedarnath’ actor’s Juhu-based doctor has not been recorded as yet.
The Mumbai Police have reportedly ruled out any foul play as the post-mortem report given by doctors states asphyxia due to hanging as the cause of death.
The post-mortem of the versatile actor was conducted at Dr RN Cooper Municipal General Hospital by a team of three doctors.
The actor’s family arrived in Mumbai from Patna on Sunday night. He was found dead at his Mumbai home by domestic help, who alerted the police. Earlier, DCP Pranay Ashok spokesperson of the Mumbai Police, had said no suicide note was found.
While speaking to media, Sushant’s sister and maternal uncle said, “We don’t think he committed suicide, police must investigate the matter. There seems to be a conspiracy behind his death. He has been murdered. he said.
Meanwhile, if sources are believed, the Bollywood actor was clinically diagnosed with depression 5-6 months ago. A senior Mumbai Police officer has reached out to Sushant’s personal doctor and will soon record his statement.
According to reports, the last rites of the deceased actor will be performed after his father and other family members arrive in Mumbai from Patna on Monday.
