MQM founder Altaf Hussain arrested in London


LONDON/ ISLAMABAD (ENN) Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) founder Altaf Hussain was arrested by Scotland Yard in an early morning raid on Tuesday.

“Hussain was arrested this morning and taken to a local police station” sources added. At least 15 officers took part in a dawn raid at his north London home.

A forensic unit of Scotland Yard was searching the residence of Altaf Hussain, the MQM office and International Secretariat.

Meanwhile, MQM sources have confirmed that Altaf Hussain was arrested.

It’s believed that Altaf Hussain has been arrested in relation to the hate speech of 2016 in which he had urged his followers to take law into their own hands.
Hussain had issued violent threats to former DG Rangers Major General Bilal Akbar.
