ZHOB (ENNS) Deputy Commissioner Shehak Baloch has said that media is considered as the fourth pillar of the state, however he has pointed out that a realistic and judicious approach was necessary to bring facts to limelight. He stressed that the journalists should play a positive role in mitigating the sufferings of masses. Terming the media as a bridge between government and people he said, journalists enjoy a great importance as their role has now become a reality.
DC Shehak expressed these views during an introductory meeting with a delegation of journalists led by senior journalist Akhter Gul Mandokhail, Rafiullah Mandokhail, Karim Dad Sherani, Ghafoor Watanyar, Nayar Nadeem, Zafran Khan and Rafiq Qaisrani briefed the DC about the basic problems of the city in the meeting.
Ex-senator Raza Muhammad Raza, Assistant Commissioner Abdul Wahab Nasar, SHO Sher Ali Mandokhail, Tehsildar Zhob Abdul Salam Musakhail, Tehsildar Sambaza Sadiq Hariphal, JUI-F leader Qazi Ahmed Khwasti and DSM PPHI Mushtaq Ahmed Baloch were also present on the occasion.
Deputy Commissioner said that concrete steps be taken against the drug users and drug peddlers to eradicate the menace from the city. He directed the newly-appointed SHO to keep strict vigilance on peddling of narcotics. Moreover he said, in order to ensure smooth traffic flow, an anti-encroachment drive would also be launched against traffic rules violation and illegal encroachments.
Responding to a question, he said that the BUITEMS Zhob campus would be built on the proposed land. People from different walks of life would be invited to the earth breaking ceremony. He said that the varsity issue has been resolved through mutual understanding and no one won or lost.
DC Shehak Baloch said that we all should play a role to address the collective problems. The journalists should also play their vital role and perform their duty with devotion and dedication by pointing out the issues in a positive manner.
