JIT removes dust on blind murder of Memon: Mastermind yet to be identified, confessing killer brings woman link


ISLAMABAD/ Naushahro Feroze (ENNS) Slain journalist Aziz Memon’s case seems to be resolved soon as JIT apprehended three culprits after the DNA of two accused matched with DNA found in the nails of Memon.

The accused were produced before the Judicial Magistrate Kandiaro for remand, where one accused Nazeer Sahito confessed his crime under 164 statement before the magistrate.
According to sources accused not only confessed killing Memon but told, he did that on the directions of absconding accused Mushtaq Sahito.
AIG police Ghullam Nabi Memon while talking to media on Friday in Shaheed Benazirabad told that Mushtaq was principal accused in the murder case.

The judicial magistrate Kandiaro sent Nazeer Sahito to Jail after confessional statement.
It has been learnt that Nazeer had been involved in criminal activities including murders in the past.
“Master mind behind Memon’s murder yet to be identified and apprehended” told senior journalists to ENNS correspondent.

According Nazeer Sahito, they killed Memon for having illicit relations with a woman (S) and it was planned murder and Memon had come to meet that woman in their village.
It is important to note that Memon’s dead body was found in Godhu minor near Sahita village in Khairpur Mirs district.
Initially police had arrested the teen age camreman of Memon in the case and then local police claimed that the death of Memon was natural not the murder.

However on the continued pressure of journalist, media unions, JIT headed by Ghullam Nabi Memon was formed.
According to AIG Memon DNAs samples of 94 persons were conducted and two of them matched.

According to sources the SSP Nawab Shah Tanveer Ahmed Tunio led the local investigation without accepting any influence with the arrest of various accused.
Memon was killed on February 16, 2020.
Moreover, Abdul Hafeez Memon, the brother of slain journalist, told media that he would not compromise on the murder case of Aziz.

Islamabad reporter Azhar Khan adds that Mushtaq Sahito and his brother while addressing press conference at NPC alleged that police was harassing them and their females and children were arrested by SSP Tunio illegally.
