HRCP raises concerns over abduction of MUET professor Inam Bhatti near airport

LAHORE (ENNS) Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP) is gravely concerned to know that Inam Bhatti, a well-respected academic at Mahran University of Engineering & Technology (MUET) in Jamshoro, was abducted from Karachi Airport, allegedly by security officials.

Reports suggest that he is still detained without any charge.

This blatant disregard for the dignity of due process is deplorable.
The incident must be quickly and transparently investigated, those responsible held to account, and Prof Bhatti returned safely to his family.

Professor Bhatti was picked up near Jinnah International airport Karachi; while his son was directed to go back to home two days ago.
