KARACHI (ENN) Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PMLN) leader and former Sindh governor Muhammad Zubair was intercepted by unknown men in Defence Phase VI area of the metropolis late Tuesday night.
“I was driving home with my wife around 11:30 pm when a car intercepted us on Saba Avenue. When I saw a pistol in the hand of one of the suspects in the car, I sped off,” the former provincial governor said.
Zubair said he has been receiving threats for the past three to four years. “I have never asked for security and the government did not provide it either,” he added.
He said government should review security arrangements in light the incidents during the last two months in Karachi.
Speaking to the media, his son, Ahsan Zubair, said, “No one has contacted us following the incident.
