ZHOB (ENN) All Balochistan 2nd Kickboxing Championship 2019 concluded with an impressive ceremony held in the provincial capital Quetta. The championship was organized by Balochistan Kickboxing Association, where 230 kick boxers from twelve districts across Balochistan including Quetta, Zhob, Pishin, Bolan, Mastung, Ziarat, Loralai, Sibbi, Naseerabad, Killa Abdullah, Noshki and Harnai participated in the 12kg weight category competitions.
Quetta team topped the three-day championship with 9 gold and 3 silver medals, while Loralai team secured runner-up trophy and Pishin team with the 3rd position.
Hamza King Fu To’a Karate academy team supervised by instructor Anwer Jan Afridi also showed its performance as the team could and won five medals. But Afridi held the lack of recourses responsible for the poor performance of the players in the provincial level.
“Due to lack of resources and lack of elected representative’s interest in sports, the entire team could not get a chance to showcase its skills in the event,” he lamented.
Assistant Director Sports Muhammad Asif Langov was the chief guest of the opening ceremony while Haji Mehmood Dummar was the chief guest of the final event.
President Balochistan Kickboxing Association Samiullah Kakar, Chairman Balochistan Kickboxing Association and Secretary General Pakistan Kickboxing Federation Mansoor Ahmed Durrani, Director Youth Affairs Muhammad Afzal Sulehri, President Balochistan Olympic Association Sher Muhammad Tareen, Malik Afzal Awan and Haji Mehmood Dummar also attended the final event.
