SIALKOT (ENN) A large number of the people including women today staged a peaceful agitational demonstration at Kutchery Chowk Sialkot and they lodged strong protest against Federal Investigation Agency(FIA) for confiscating the passports of the hundreds of the people from a local travel agency.
The protesting people were carrying agitational banners and placards. They also chanted slogans.
They said that they submitted their passports at the said travel agency for going to perform Umerah under a Sasta Package offered them by the local travel agents.
They termed the confiscation of their passports by FIA as pity with them. They demanded early return of their passports, in this regard.
In Sialkot, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) had arrested as many as two accused travel agents and recovered as many as 6000 Pakistani passports from them after raiding their travel agency at Sialkot city’s congested Khadim Ali Road locality.
According to the senior officials, the accused were claiming that these passports were of the local religious parties’ activists who were intending to perform Umerah through this travel agency.
